In his latest article, Simon Caldwell discusses how the Covid-19 pandemic exposed deep and disturbing prejudices against the elderly, disabled, and seriously ill.

Such prejudices, he says, should present a warning to society of potential future threats to vulnerable persons, especially in relation to the proposed Assisted Dying Bill. Licensing doctors to prescribe lethal drugs could open the door to unforeseen consequences, and would diminish safeguards currently in place which protect vulnerable communities.
